Not a view from across the road. The actual 10th fairway of the Robert Trent Jones Trail at Oxmoor Valley runs right past the deck, with the clubhouse up the street and Ross Bridge ten minutes away. Pour something, take the sunroom chair, and watch the last groups come through while dinner works on the grill.
The house was built for a full crew. Nine bedrooms across three floors, a kitchen that seats eight with a dining room for ten more, two gas fireplaces, and a basement that turns into the nineteenth hole: pool table, ping-pong, darts, a putting green, a poker table and a hot tub on the covered porch. Wedding parties get a Bridal Room off the main hall. Golf trips get a garage for the clubs.
Everything you need to get in and get comfortable is in the Essential Info just below. The rest can wait until you have had a moment on the deck. We are Wake Up Stays, and we are a text away.
Door codes, WiFi, parking, trash and the checkout list. Tap any row to open it.
Check-in is any time after 4:00 PM Central. Checkout is 10:00 AM Central.
No need to meet anyone. Your personal door code is live from 4:00 PM on arrival day, so pull in, punch in and settle in.
Your personal door code works on the front door, the garage entry door and the deck door. All three have a Yale keypad.
To unlock: touch the Yale logo to wake the keypad, enter your code, then press the check mark.
The doors do NOT lock themselves. When you head out, touch the Yale logo once and the deadbolt will throw. Please do this every time you leave, even for a quick trip to the course.
Locked out or code not working? There is a lockbox with physical keys on the deck handrail at the deck entrance. Text us at 205-656-1144 and we will send the lockbox code right away.
The house runs on 1,000 Mbps fiber, so 16 phones and a few laptops will not slow it down.

Park in the two-car garage or in the driveway. Garage remotes hang on hooks just inside the kitchen door from the garage.
The HOA does not allow street parking, and RVs, trailers and boats cannot be parked on the property. If your group is arriving in several cars, line them up in the driveway and keep the sidewalk clear.
Quiet hours are 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM, inside and out. That includes the deck, the covered porch and the hot tub.
The neighbors on the fairway are friendly and close. Keep the late-night laughs in the basement game room and everyone stays happy.
Trash pickup is Thursday. Please bag everything and put it in the bins at the street by the driveway.
On checkout morning, bag up all trash from every floor and take it out to the bins. Extra bags are under the kitchen sink.
Two Vivint thermostats run the house: one on the main level and one upstairs. Press any button to wake the screen, use UP and DOWN to change the temperature, and press the side button once to switch between heat and cool.
Please keep it between 66F and 74F. Setting cool below 66F can freeze the unit and leave the whole house warm. At checkout, set it to 67F on heat or 73F on cool.

You will find a starter supply of toilet paper, paper towels, dishwasher pods, laundry pods, dryer sheets, coffee, toothbrushes and toothpaste. Most of it lives under the kitchen sink and in the laundry rooms.

How the hot tub, grills, fireplaces and game room work, room by room.

The Catalina Santa Anna spa sits on the covered porch just off the basement game room. It stays heated and set to 102F (104F is the max).
Opening the cover: fold the first half back, then lift from the side. The hydraulic arm parks the cover upright behind the spa. Closing: press the red lock on the right-side arm, pull the cover down, flip the first half over and lock the clips. Please never sit or stand on the cover.
Controls are on the top-side panel. Jets 1: one press for low, again for high, again for off. Jets 2: on and off. Light: cycles the colors. The pumps shut off on their own after 20 minutes.
Music: press Stereo, pair your phone to the spa with code 0000, and press Stereo again to turn it off.
Shower first. No glass, no food, 15 minutes at a time. Children stay with an adult at all times and no one under 5 goes in. No pets. Quiet after 10 PM. Please do not add anything to the water. If it looks cloudy, text us.

The basement game room is where the round gets replayed. The full-size pool table has a hard top that turns it into a dining table and flips over to a ping-pong surface. Paddles, balls, the net and clamps live in the bench with the flip-up seat.
The dartboard cabinet holds the darts in its doors. Please aim for the board only. The indoor putting green comes with putters: putts only, no full swings.
The VW bus bar and the traffic light are plug-in decor. Please unplug both when the room is not in use and before bed. Drinks stay off the felt, and there are plastic cups at the bar. The snack cart is stocked on arrival.
The fire extinguisher is in the basement hallway and the breaker panel is in the game-room closet.

The old-school popcorn cart in the game room is real and it works. Step-by-step instructions are on the wall card next to it, and a starter supply of kernels and oil is on the cart.
Let the kettle heat fully before you add the kernels, and switch the kettle off as soon as the popping slows. Please give it a quick wipe-down when you are done so the next batch tastes fresh.

The lounge next to the game room is set up for the late game: a poker table with a full chip set, a gas fireplace, a Smart TV, a queen sleeper sofa and a wall-sized golf mural. It opens straight onto the covered porch and the hot tub.
Chips and cards are in the poker table drawer. Please count them back in when the night is over.

The basement has its own coffee bar with a Cuisinart Coffee Center and a full-size refrigerator, so the downstairs crew never has to climb two flights for the first cup.
The Coffee Center brews K-cup single serves or a 12-cup carafe. Starter K-cups, ground coffee and filters are stocked here and in the kitchen.

There are two gas log fireplaces, one in the main living room and one in the basement lounge. Both run on a key valve.
To light: open the screen, hold the long lighter at the logs, insert the key into the wall valve and turn it slowly counter-clockwise about a quarter turn. Adjust the flame with the key.
To turn off: turn the key fully clockwise until the flame is out, then leave the key on the hearth. Please turn both off before bed and before leaving the house.
Nothing goes in the fireplace but the gas logs, and the glass stays hot long after the flame is out.

The deck is at the back corner of the house, right off the kitchen, with the RTJ 10th fairway in view. There is an outdoor dining table for 8 under a large crank umbrella, two six-burner grills, and the lockbox on the handrail at the deck entrance.
Use the Monument Denali natural gas grill first. It is plumbed into the house, so it never runs out. Open the lid, push and turn a burner knob to HIGH and hold the ignition 3 to 5 seconds, light the other burners the same way, then preheat 10 minutes with the lid closed. Knob lights: white is on, red is high, orange is low. When you are done, turn every knob to OFF, scrape the grates and close the lid.
The Captiva Designs propane grill is the backup. Open the tank valve slowly one full turn, push and turn to HIGH and press the igniter. The infrared side burner is for searing only. When done, knobs OFF, then close the tank valve. Out of propane? Text us.
Always light with the lid open. If there is no flame in 5 seconds, turn it off, wait 5 minutes and try again. Never move the grills. No charcoal or open fires.
Please close the umbrella when you are done and keep the deck door closed while the heat or air is running. Quiet hours apply out here too.

Off the living area, the sunroom looks straight down the fairway. It is the best seat in the house for the first coffee of the morning and for watching the last groups come through at dusk.
The main-level king suite opens onto it, so keep the voices low early in the morning if someone is still asleep next door.

The kitchen is built for a crowd: seating for 8 at the table, a large island with a breakfast bar, a deep pantry, and the formal dining room seats 10 more.
Cooktop: KitchenAid 36-inch 5-burner gas. Push the knob in, turn to LITE, then turn down to your flame. Ovens: KitchenAid double wall ovens, and the top one is convection. Dishwasher: pods are under the sink. There is a disposal and a French-door refrigerator.
The waffle maker, air fryer, toaster oven, blender and countertop grill are in a bin in the pantry. Please wipe them down and put them back when you are finished.

There is a Cuisinart Coffee Center in the kitchen and another at the basement coffee bar. Each one brews a K-cup single serve on one side and a full 12-cup carafe on the other, so the early risers and the whole table are both covered.
Starter K-cups, ground coffee and filters are provided. If you run out, Publix on Lakeshore is 8 minutes away.

Just off the main hall, the Bridal Room is set up for the morning of: a dedicated vanity with a lit mirror, a full-length mirror, and valet rods to hang the dress and the bridesmaids' gowns.
It is quiet, private and sized for the bride and her stylist, with a bathroom right next door, all on the main level. The Barn at Shady Lane is 5 minutes down the road.

Two LG washer and dryer sets: one in the main-level laundry room off the garage hallway, and one in the basement.
Drop a pod in the empty drum first, then add clothes. Press POWER, choose Normal, press START. Please clean the dryer lint screen before each load. Pods and dryer sheets are provided to get you started.

Every bedroom, both living rooms, the loft and the game room have Roku Smart TVs. Sign in to your own streaming accounts. There is no cable or antenna.
